Principal Corner- Mrs. Joy Esemann

Hello Gator families, I am Mrs. Joy Esemann,
principal of Queens Creek Elementary School!
I have a passion for fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in creating and
maintaining a culture where staff, students, and
families feel heard so that we have a positive learning environment.
During my 16 years in education I have carried many titles, taught multiple grade levels and most recently been the assistant principal at Clear View Elementary School here in Onslow County. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Carolina and a Master in School Administration from East Carolina University.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Michael since 2007. We have two precious red-heads, Ella who attends Swansboro High School and Evan who will be joining me here at QCE. Michael is a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy and during his time, we have been stationed in Beaufort, S.C., Charleston, S.C., and
here at Camp Lejeune. When I am not at school, you can find me at
something to do with Ella's cheerleading, Evan's Martial Arts,
taking a road trip, or on the boat/beach.
I consider myself lucky to the principal here at Queens Creek Elementary! Every day I will strive to set expectations for our students that I know are obtainable and differentiated according to each of their needs. My passion is to see each student not only success, but succeed far more than they ever imaged.
